Machool Technologies and Spring Global Delivery Solutions, PostNL’s international division, have announced a strategic international partnership aimed at facilitating cross-border trade for Canadian businesses.
This collaboration will pair Machool’s technological prowess with Spring’s expansive global reach to provide an integrated logistics solution for businesses shipping goods from Canada to the USA and beyond, according to the announcement.
This move also heralds the introduction of Spring’s new nationwide delivery solution for shipments into Canada, powered by Machool. Furthermore, Spring has made a strategic investment in Machool, hinting at a long-term commitment towards mutual growth and expansion.
“We are excited to partner up with Spring and take our national success onto the international stage,” said Kamyar Asadibeiky, CEO and President of Machool.
The partnership is a direct response to the burgeoning Canadian e-commerce sector, which has seen an influx of new market players. Alwin van Nieuwenborg, Executive Vice President of Spring, echoed the sentiment, stating, “Teaming up with Machool enables Spring to offer an easy solution for domestic Canadian deliveries.”
This news follows Machool’s recent agreement with Air Canada in December 2022 to deliver a three-year e-commerce shipping service for Canadian online retailers. This new service, leveraging Air Canada’s extensive flight network and Machool’s last-mile partners, is expected to provide an efficient, cost-effective shipping solution throughout Canada.
Asadibeiky voiced his anticipation for the upcoming product, stating that Air Canada’s mid-mile expertise combined with Machool’s offerings make for a promising e-commerce solution for online retailers, with potential international opportunities on the horizon.
Rishi Puran, Director of Global E-commerce at Air Canada Cargo, affirmed the company’s dedication to evolving with the marketplace, stating that “this partnership brings together Air Canada’s strong domestic air freight capabilities and Machool’s technology to efficiently service pick-ups and deliveries.”
As Canadian e-commerce continues to grow and evolve, partnerships like these pave the way for streamlined logistics and heightened market competitiveness.
